Not really, it does its part as a kid friendly detective game with its easy difficulty and Pokemon taking part in the mysteries frequently. However, the story can be quite plain, almost all the characters are boring and unmemorable, and the game constantly makes it a walk in a park with all the hints it gives, thus removing any sense of challenge. If you want to play a good detective game, Professor Layton is much better. And while not a true detective game, Ace Attorney is worth picking up over this.
However, there is one good reason you should pick up this game...
