And no, "It's set as male in the code" is not proof, because that's just simply the default setting for all of them, even ones that are supposed to be genderless/unknown. Literally every Pokemon in Unite used to be male in the code because of that setting before they started adding ones with gender differences (of which Absol has none) and changing some of them to female for the sake of that.
It's not even consistent within the same Pokemon. The Eevee that Umbreon evolves from can be male or female depending which costume it's wearing, showing that it's not even always the same one Umbreon just wearing different outfits but actually different Umbreons.
