It only comes from a random tweet made by one of the writers, and the tweet was quickly deleted, so it's not necessarily canon. It may have been the real timeline, and he was told to delete it so the info wouldn't get public, or it could've been his own personal idea, and he was told to delete it so it wouldn't mislead people. Dunno.
Also, Masuda said that they don't really try to stick to a concrete timeline in the first place.
