>>50664462Seeing people rage at this in the last thread really brings it into view that /padt/ is the same as Youtube comments and fuckin' Serebii when it comes to Goh. Irrationally angry when he seems to do anything, even getting some cuddles from Ash's Pokemon. It doesn't even register to most of these simple idiots that the two characters in this image are best friends. They think Ash is their hero and that Goh is in active contention with him in everything he does. That they get dealt a massive blow when one of Ash's old friends likes Goh, or when Goh notices and figures something out before Ash.
It's been an interesting psyche case to watch. While it's been more present elsewhere, it's still definitely happening in /padt/. A sort of oppositional defiance of Goh. He could get a perfectly good episode that would be beloved if he and Ash swapped roles, but I'd say a slight majority of posters in here would just say it was boring, who cares, and aggressively shift focus onto the preview, which happens to be more about Ash. It's very noticeable.
The one consistent thing across the board if you can get any of these people to go into detail about why they're so angry and hate Goh so much, is that they all really, REALLY like Ash. Like, beyond just a 'favorite character' type of thing, they have a serious long term emotional investment in him and are very defensive of him. He is their 'chad', they say a lot.
