>>58551085It's not that simple, although that is the general gist.
Dragonite and Gengar have a big gap between their base ingredient gathering rates, and their helping speeds, and they can both run mono herbs so they're a good case study for the effects of subskills on varied base stats.

Helping Speed M has a greater effect for Gengar due to how low its base ingredient gathering rate is, and results in overall greater strength contributions in berries plus herbs. BFS Gengar is a strong performer due to how damn fast it is.
Ingredient Finder M by contrast has a far greater effect for Dragonite due to its superb ingredient gathering rate, though the actual net positive gain between the two is pretty close (+23 versus +26).
Helping speed bonuses improves everything a helper can do, but specialists absolutely do need at least one of Ingredient Finder M / Skill Trigger M, and then a nature that boosts either their speciality or their helping speed.
Ingredient Finder M + Helping Speed M is also a stronger combination than Ingredient Finder M + Ingredient Finder S.
