>>35579471Challenge mode Cheren looks like this. The rest of the game is very well balanced, while still being challenging enough to be fun without needing tedious grinding. It's also got crazy Pokemon variety; IIRC you'll be able to catch almost anything before reaching Skyla's gym. On top of that the versions with Pokemon changes actually have good changes that make at least some sense, and they're completely optional if you're a purist. It's also got a few extra events scattered around, including proper one-time encounters for each legendary Pokemon.
Basically it's just a massive upgrade over the base games.
