Having arguments and having a play on their personalities would be good though. If it was done as a rival, I would still like it if she traveled with Ash competing and training together. Similar to how Ash and Kaki train. So in her case, training to become a stronger trainer/battler to have fun but no interest in becoming Pokemon master of winning the league
