Your gonna get weird looks when your in a relationship with something that can't communicate or seemingly acts like a regular animal. So the Psychic Pokemon, telepathic ones, and Pokemon that can just learn how to talk (Which is all of them) might be good.
Legendaries can fall into this category as well, it just depends on if they choose to transform into a humanoid form and talk as many of them can do.
