Well, you don't have to like or watch the dub, but people like me grew up with the dub, and I'm sure those that reached 18 back when subs for Pokemon became more active grew up with the Japanese names. I mean, even if some of you prefer sub over dub, I'll still hang around.
Also, pardon if my memory is rusty but didn't Pokemon subbed anime become more available starting with Diamond & Pearl?
