I've started hating Pokemon designs in Gen 4, but many of them ended up growing on me and some are even my favorite Pokemon. I was largely neutral about Gen 5, unimpressed. Gen 6 I thought felt hacky. Gen 7 I thought felt cheesy and gimmicky.
This is the first generation of Pokemon that makes me angry to accept that these are called Pokemon at all. It taints the concept of "Pokemon" for these abominations to add themselves to the ranks.
