>>53483190I mean, feel free to right now, but it's sort of hard to have opinions on the series and have a thread about them without this stuff. Sucks, but it's the truth
>>53482992>the lack of fur collars in rest of eeveelutions bothers me REALLY badly.I never noticed this and now I'm never going to unsee it thanks
(also I agree about gen 4, but only in the context of the first 5 gens. I still found much more to love in gen 4's batch than anything from SM onwards)
>>53482988>BW2 has more stuff to do after you complete the gamethis is true actually, I'll give it that
It's not really for me since the vast majority of it relates to battling (and I am not a battler), but I know most people like that so that's definitely a point in its favor.
>For me 2,3,3, and 4 are good, 1,5,9 are okay, and 6,7,8 are outright bad, so I don't fully agree but I definitely think they've stopped being as cool in general. This is interesting lol, never thought I'd see someone preferring Baxcalibur to Kommo-o. Will never understand why the punchdragon is generally disliked.
For me, it's sorta like: Hydreigon, Metagross are pretty good, Kommo-o, Garchomp, and Tyranitar are decent, and everything else is pretty bad. Baxcalibur is the worst, Salamence is a close second, Dragonite and Goodra are embarrassments but I get their appeal. Same goes for Dragapult.
>I think 7,8, and 9 are all about equal in terms of being bad, I consider them the "post yokai watch" era, where designs try way too hard to be these goofy unique characters instead of a creature, a member of a species. That's a bold claim, I like it. I think out of those three 7 is definitely the best- a lot of its designs are still close enough to the original spirit of things for me to forgive the increased emphasis on character- but I can't say I'd miss too many designs if it was gone, nor if 8/9 were. Then again most of my favorites are concentrated in 3 specific generations so I don't think I'd weep for any except for those...
