Cyrus is one of the few villains that gets shit done and doesn't give a shit how you feel about it because when he's done, you won't feel at all.
Why? Because nobody liked him as a kid. His parents were cruel. The only friend he ever had was taken away from him. All he wants is to end the suffering that is the human condition. His suffering. His pain. His anger. His hate... and he will destroy reality itself to do it.
You want to know the scariest part? He almost did. It took a literal deus ex machina to stop him. An unknown variable he had no clue existed, but now he does, and an eternity to figure it out in a place outside space and time. He promised he would, and I don't doubt that man for a second.
Cyrus is and always will be the craziest motherfucker in Pokemon, and that's why I love him.
