I think Hydreigon is a good Pokémon design, in most other series, the “big scary dark dragon” type would have spikes, giant fangs, huge claws, etc. Hydreigon is still intimidating, but it’s round body gives it an almost “huggable and cutesy” sort of appeal. They managed to make it an imposing and badass dark dragon, but a dark dragon you can see yourself best friends with.
