Why do you want Serena to follow Ash to the next region? In order for her to do this she would have to lose Master Class, if she wins she wouldn't be able to leave Kalos due to her responsibilities as Kalos Queen. Do you seriously want her to go through Tripokalons all over again? What would be the point of that?
I personally want a new companion with unique goals, I am done with contest bullshit.
