Sure Johto has some shrines and Sinnoh was named after their word for God but does any region actually come close to just how active Alola's religion is? Not only are the Tapus still actively venerated with their will still being law given and any punishment incurred by violating it accepted but their entire political structure with the Kahunas is still directly tied to the Tapus. Hell the entire Island Trial is probably based off of pilgrimages to earn favor from the Tapus.
