>>35524453So in the midst of grinding, I took a detour into Viridian Forest briefly and got a Caterpie. And, unlike poor Pudding in Red, didn't die immediately. I also realized that last game I hadn't bothered to fight my Rival off of Route 22, so I thought I'd give that a go. Wash seemed to have some trouble, whittling down Pidgey slowly while not tanking hits as much as I would have liked. Also tried bludgeoning Bulbasaur with Kansas, but had to swap out for Nevada in the end. Thankfully getting through the Forest brought both him and Wash up to snuff, even evolving in Kansas' case. And was to be expected, got my Boulder Badge easily. Really most trouble I had was the first trainer's Sandshrew, those fuckers can hit. I need one.
>>35524859Thank you, and yes, I won't be using anything of the lines of champions I've already won with. I know that sounds like it could be bad, but really, I feel like the further you go down the generation line, their will be plenty of options to fill those similar roles. Though now I've got to deal with threats that my old mates handled well without them and figure out what best to substitute them with. Hopefully something good comes my way.
