>>50221289It's true. When this came out I was very disappointed at gamefreak for making such an ugly pallette and soulless sprites. Compared to gen 2 it's a fucking shame. If we're talking about artstyle even gen 1 is better. The sprites are dull and look kind of dull. Gen 4 perfected the colors and style and Gen 5 gave them life.
The Kanto remakes tried to salvage them at least.
