I've been away for a week, but I'm finally back!
Last we left off, we had just made it to Lilycove, since then a lot happened. I've beaten team Magma/Aqua and the last two gyms. Unfortunately we lost two team members, and a potential one during a grinding accident, on the way. Stereo the Loudred died against a wild Torkoal in Team Magma's base which trapped it with a fire spin and a paralysis inducing critical hit bodyslam making her impossible to save. Felt like bullshit but we move on. I added Rockgarden the Lileep (now Cradily) to replace her because Grass types will serve well against future water trainers.
Pudding the Tentacruel died against Tate and Lyza because I wanted to deal more damage with surf, but instead I switched right into a psychic like an idiot. Harrow and Brilliant managed to beat the gym though. Finally I wanted to replace her with Superstar the Staryu but it died exactly two fights into grinding because of selfdestruct.
Instead I brought in Pharos the Lanturn. I know they're not the strongest surfer I could get, but being an electric type resistant to water made her perfect against Juan and I hope Wallace too.
I also got Harrow up to a Flygon, so that paid off! Now it's off to the elite 4 to finish the run.
