Imagine if starters of each gen were designed, then rotated to each of the other type's designers for them to change one thing about it each before finalization. If each designer wanted theirs to look the best, they'd sabotage the others, which could lead to all of them looking like shit.

Anyway, that's my headcanon for how starters end up looking unnecessarily off.

Is it just me or do the Fire starters have the weakest design appeal as a collective? Like if I had to get a shirt, poster, etc with all of the starters of one type on it, I'd be deciding between Grass and Water since on average they're better.
