Okay, let me get this straight:
The stone changed its course when White made her presence in the zone, which, in order to happen, needed itself to be close to said zone and needed her to be there, the latter of which, could only happen if Fennel told her the stone had a connection to the place, which in turn, needed the scientist to research about it so she could then contact White later on.
Do you see how many specific circumstances had to happen in order to make this sequence work? What would've happened if White wasn't in the area? Or if N and the stone weren't close to the Entra-Link? What if they had run into Kyurem much earlier? This is some Ultimates 3 level of stupidity here. And this comes from what's supposed to be a Pokémon adaptation superior to the anime
