Let's look at Ray Rizzo in specific. He is considered by many to be the single best Pokémon player ever due to the fact that he won three World Championships in a row. Now, I have absolutely nothing against the man, and in fact, he is undeniably one of the most skilled Pokémon Trainers to have ever played this game. Yet even so, I must be fair and point out that him winning three World Championships in a row is only slightly more impressive than what has been achieved by anyone who has made it to the World Championships even once. This is because the vast majority of what Ray Rizzo has achieved was already achieved by him by the time he first made it to the 2010 World Championships tournament, as he never had to deal with the law of large numbers again after that, since he was automatically qualified for the 2011 and 2012 World Championships. But even if you were to somehow argue that all three of his World Championship wins are of equal value despite what I just explained, then that's still only roughly equivalent to three ladder peaks, and I have peaked 80 different ladders across 49 different tiers
Once again, no disrespect to Ray Rizzo. What he did was truly worthy of praise, but even his achievements—and the achievements of the other World Champions, for that matter—pale in comparison to mine.
