This is something I've known since at least gen 2, but it always struck me as something a lot of people probably don't know.
If you don't want to give your Pokemon a nickname, but you miss the 'no' button, you don't have to re-enter the Pokemon's name. Just hit Enter with a blank message and it treats it as if you chose not to name it.
