Their typical habitat being mountains that they don't often come down from also lends to this interpretation.
Back in character, I did not mean to imply Absol was part of the aforementioned canine pokemon. What I meant was that some pokemon have greater difficulty digesting standard gum ingredients, such as canines(who would otherwise seem well suited to this treat given their biting tendencies). I would make sure Absol is okay in that department before giving it something foreign to it like gum.
