That's just par for the course with this fanbase. They like to cherry pick whatever they want and act like gen 1 was the best ever. That's why, as much as people like to say it's shit, the Kanto meme is always going to be good and relevant, it shows these people for what they are: chronic consoomers who will practically shove anything Kanto related up their ass in worship because that really is the only thing they care about in this series.
