I've owned Sun since launch but have played it so sparingly that I've just now finished the second island despite about 30 hours of playtime. I still enjoy the game but I just never put in/have the time to play it for more than a half hour, and when I do I play it with such autistic methodology that I make progress at a snail's pace.
So my questions are, should I bother getting Ultra Sun/Moon and essentially "start over" this Alolan journey, or just stick with finishing Sun at my extremely slow pace? Is there enough new content in the game (Team Rocket Rainbow, the Ultra worlds, the new story/UBs, etc) to warrant resetting all of my progress for an "improved" experience? And if so, should I stick with Ultra Sun or mix things up and get Ultra Moon instead? The only exclusive Pokemon that really sway my opinion on this are Regigigas and a few commons in Sun, and any other exclusivity aspects are basically meaningless to me. Also, how much has character customization improved? Because I genuinely enjoyed that more than I should have.
I mainly ask all of this because my mom is persistent on getting me a Christmas gift and it seemed like a good excuse to get US/UM.
