I was EXTREMELY lucky that I had a relative that let me borrow his brickboy to play Pokemon Blue. My god, that felt like an adventure, exploring and using squirtle as my main pokemon. I remember being a cheap fuck and use the missingno trick to max level my party. I still remember paying 25 cent to buy cheap as fuck batteries to power up that gameboy. Pokemon card exist solely for trading and I didn't get into those. The show was great and I always thought the Orange League was the best. Little did I know that this would have been Ash's highest point. The first First Movie and the release of Gold and Silver was really the peak for me and it went all down hill with Ruby and Sapphire.
