Duplicate cluade is the most common additional clause other than technically no bag items, but I consider that a base, since bag items break the game.
Duplicate clause is generally an opt. in with you being allowed to catch two of the same if you want to.
Though if it wasn't an option it might prevent you from replacing a critical mon, making you improvise (or lose).
I find it makes it a little easier, but also more fun.
You could add another clause to add difficulty.
