I've never been much for starters even back in RB days, but I like Wartortle, Chikorita, Typhlosion, Mudkip, Torterra, Serperior, Delphox, and Greninja okay.
Problem is that I mostly prefer the pre-evolved forms of the starter 'mon. Delphox and Torterra are the only two I've ever used all the way to the E4.
