>>53622779After the disaster, I ended up going back to Dewford and it's nearby areas for some fishing. Neither Gyarados nor Tentacool will be part of the final team, but I want to get through Flannery safely.
While grinding, the very last encounter was a shiny Machop. Figures it would be something I won't even use because it's a trademon.
Time for Flannery.
I'm a bit hesistant due to the firepower she's packing, so I lead Gyarados and Thunder Wave (Why does it get this?) and switch to Zangoose to set up Swords Dance in preparation of a sweep. End up taking an Overheat from Slugma, leaving him in uncomfortably at red health. One Dig is enough of course.
Out comes Torkoal, no problem. Except that Dig doesn't one-shot, giving it an opportunity to kill Zangoose with Overheat.
>Overheat missedOh. In hindsight, Soft Sand would've been a good idea. Oh well, Zangoose cleans up.
A detour to the desert and the trick room later, it's time for Norman.
Delcatty applies layers of Charm on Danger Gorilla, then switch to Zangoose for max Swords Dance and sweep.
Damn, I finally have a Pokemon with a good boosting move and it's just THAT easy.
