However, with the onslaught of fairies, I find the extra special defense to be really useful. AV means Machamp could stand against pretty much most psychic/ghost threats, even LO Alakazam (not sure about Mega), and survive Megatard-Y's solar powered attacks, then hit back and OHKO with Stone Edge. I suppose it all depends on the support he has.
