With randomized trainer Pokemon, his Scyther was replaced by a Zangoose, one that I didn't have the raw power behind me to easily KO. I thought I was safe wearing it down, but then it began to use Swords Dance, and the realization that I had no recourse dawned on me like the realization that your dog can't be the one licking your hand under the covers if you can see your dog sleeping in the corner of the room.
The only thing that stopped it from being a complete wipe was Bucket, whose use of Reflect, Light Screen, and Safeguard has honestly been the bulwark that my team desperately needed. A true hero. I have two randomized TMs, one for Bug Buzz and one for Aeroblast. Which is recommended for this hero?
Other fun things the randomizer has gifted me have been TMs for Aurora Beam, Dark Pulse, and Discharge (as well as Sludge, which was used on my Bellsprout); a Leaf Stone in Union Cave (which'll be fantastic, given I just caught an Oddish); and the game fascinatingly replacing my rival's starter Pokemon with...Lickitung, which was mine. What are the odds.
My biggest problem right now is that my team is extremely defensive, with little reliable raw offense. I'm hoping to get something good soon so I can patch that up.
