More encounters and nickname nonsense, and... some bad news.
>Route 21
Linoan the Alomomola. Not much to say here, but an encounter's an encounter. She joins the barracks.
>Route 22
Creidne the Amoonguss. It was from the grass, but I believe there static encounters as well. She joins the barracks.
I was actually hoping Amoonguss would have been male, because I realized that I had the perfect name: Shannam.
Long story short, in the game's setting that all of my Pokemon are named after, there is a swordsman prince named Shannan who is one of the strongest swordsmen around.
He has an impersonator named Shannam, who looks like him but is nowhere near as strong, but tries to act like him.
Amoonguss is also an impersonator, impersonating items on the ground. I thought it'd be fitting.
After naming Alomomola, I have also named basically every female character from that game, so from Amoonguss onward, any female Pokemon will have to be named after characters from another game in the series that at least takes place in the same setting/time period.
Now the bad news:
I lost Starmie.
I had the Amulet Coin on Starmie thinking like, well, we could use some more money, because I do burn a ton of Super Repels just going through the routes and also through grinding. My Pokemon are pretty strong, let's just sweep through Route 21, 22, and Seaside Cave before Marlon. I really thought it'd be simple. And for the most part, it was.
I genuinely had no idea that Heracross would have lived a Psychic. Starmie's a Calm nature too, so it's not like its Special Attack was down or anything.
Starmie probably could've helped against Marshal, I don't know. Maybe it would've done well against Iris if it got in safely with moves like Ice Beam and Thunderbolt.
This was completely careless of me and I should have just kept Twisted Spoon or Expert Belt on it, what's a bit less money in return?
Thanks for your hard work, Sara. You will be avenged.
