I notice that the old retcon fairies appear to be much stronger than the new ones. Maybe just seeing the new ones following the leaks made people think fairy will be useless. Then again, Gen 6 mons in general are quite underwhelming (only likely OU I can think of is Aegislash and maybe Sylveon)

Oh, and Mega-Mawile is GOAT anti-fairy offensive pivot. It does a good job of checking Gengar too.

Again, depends on its stats and new moves, and also new Pokemon. Every mega we've seen so far as 600 BST or better. Just raising the Def and SDef alone would make it at least 170, and there's probably more stats being boosted.

Also, Steel/Fairy is an amazing defensive type, by the way, and the only type that resists Dark and Fairy together. It could be of use for a tank on a balanced or defensive team. (not a sweeper)

It's more than that. With Huge Power it effectively has base 215.

Now all we have to know is if its defences go as high up as advertised. I'm hoping 140/130 to make up for the terrible HP.

Mawile does have intimidate before it goes mega, which helps a little.

Also, apparently it's supposed to have legendary stats when it's mega, which means its Defence and Sp.Defence has to be at least about 170. Which would basically mean it can tank boosted Salamence EQs.
