What are your guy's thoughts on the map/overworld direction Game Freak took this time? I bet this is them responding to all the "too linear/handholding" complaints of gens 7/8
Personally I think it's a fine idea but the fact that trainers don't show up on the mini map means I know for a fact I'm gonna end up finding someone I didn't fight the first time around in the post game and they're gonna send out a level 7 Rookidee against me.
Plus trying to figure out where I've been and knowing when to consider an area complete before accidentally going too far/into a new area is annoying
