Was never really a game nerd, I played the games because I liked Pokemon, not the mechanics. But overtime the formula has gotten stale, it's fun to play on showdown from time to time . But almost every single goal oriented thing in the recent games have become literal chore because of dialogue, cutscenes, or just everything is just a slog to get through. Gamefreak have an obsession with taking shortcut's now because they know the games will sell big regardless of the effort. I used to really play the games for hours on end, even Sun and Moon, but even I can see the quality has dropped considerably.
Anon's here like to make fun of the "Meme's and Porn! lol" meme. But if you really have any invested interest and or hope in this franchise, all of that enthusiasm for Pokemon, will literally just wither away to just meme's and porn. The franchise really has nothing to offer beyond that. Which is why I don't understand Gen wars. Every gen is essentially a fresh new coat paint, same old car with minor new flashy gimmicks here and there.
>tl;dr:Due to the recent fuck up's of Gamefreak, I have lost all faith in the games ever being good and whatever I held sacred to the franchise. My interest in this franchise now is solely tethered on the basis on whether or not I feel like fapping to Gardevoir or not. This is not my fault, but GF's.
