>>39010734Yeah this is something I truly don't understand.
I like what we've seen in Sword and Shield from the gameplay side of things, the return of a bettered PSS type system, the potential of the Wild Area for bringing some freshness to the games, the combination of Gyms and Trials. It all seems pretty fresh.
The animations and textures in the game are disappointing, but I was willing to look past them if the gameplay was good enough. But removing Pokemon and then saying it was for higher quality animations or "balance" was just an utter slap in the face.
I just want a complete game, and Sword and Shield not having all Pokemon makes it feel incomplete. They future proofed for this exact reason yet they're still not providing something as basic as the characters the video game is based around.
I truly don't feel as if Pokemon fans are asking for a lot here, but the fact that people are calling those who want all the Pokemon "entitled" just makes me realize how ok we've become with GameFreak's laziness.
Maybe I'm wrong, and anyone who disagrees feel free to explain why. I'm just so confused as to why this has become an issue against people asking for a complete game as well, instead of just an issue against GameFreak.
I'm not happy about GameFreak being lazy, and I feel like that's where the animosity is coming from for the other side. I don't want Pokemon to be bad, I don't want to criticize GameFreak's decisions. But this is inexcusable, I'm sad about this shit not happy. I was so excited to see how fleshed out everything looked, the cities and towns and Wild Area felt fresh. Now I'm debating whether or not I'm gonna even pick up the game used.
