there's been a lot of bullshit over the years but sword and violet were the first mainline games where i just didn't even bother
im aware not giving a game a chance just because of the art style or graphics or whatever is the most vapid and insipid shit but the games are just revolting to look at and gamefreak gives me no reason to believe that the game itself makes up for it based on the past decade. anything worthwhile from those games will just be incorporated into rom hacks eventually anyway
