This is a cookiecutter shark. At only a foot long, it gets its name from the bites it inflicts. The shark's specialized jaws remove perfect round chunks from much larger animals, leaving holes like those left by a cookiecutter. The shark also use bioluminescence for camouflage, but they have a dim patch on their body that imitates a smaller and more innocent fish.
Although the cookiecutter shark is a marine animal, I love the idea of a terrestrial cave-dwelling version that keeps the small stature, glowing skin, and toothy grin.
