Dynamax was a mistake.
Not because it was massively imbalanced (which it may or may not have been) but because it got smogon okay with outright banning generation mechanics.
It’s going to be samey stale metas forever now, because anything that has a chance to fundamentally change how the game is played will be banned. God forbid a gen meta differs in a way beyond just a handful of new moves and mons.
If pokemon introduced Teras several gens ago they wouldn’t even think of banning it.
