I enjoy cringe all the time, but this game's endgame has been too much just because the gameplay has degraded to be just as bad as the plot, but knowing people are interested will keep me going.
>>21283144>implying I'm not>>21282866So I backtracked to Groudon's cave to find he's gone. Inside is ANOTHER Flash maze but there are no wild encounters so it's bearable.
In the next room you see Groudon having had the shit kicked out of him by a Tyranitar and Pikachu (how does that even work Pikachu has a shitty level-up set), and challenge us to a battle. Pikachu's at Lv. 35, Tyranitar at Lv. 32, Skymin defeats them both easy.
Talking to Groudon afterwards, he says he'll join your team IF you can beat him in a battle. Skymin does that easily, and I have a new replacement for Torchic, neat.
Talking to Breatherna, we're told to rest up for the night and then we'll head to the Tower of Fate, thank the lord.
We get an admittedly atmospheric cutscene, though it's completely ruined by the dialogue attempting to be deep and profound.
>ROSE: The moon is sad... sad because we are sad...A pretty cool effect of a shooting star passing by happens, and every character wishes for some variation of "I wish we can stay together." and they go to bed for the night. The cutscene, if given a better writer, honestly would've been pretty nice and fitting for a Mystery Dungeon cutscene; shame it's sandwiched in this garbage.
