While being “girly” is part of the reason for Meganium’s lack of popularity, it mainly has to do with him being harder to use than most other starters. He’s a defensive, support-oriented Pokemon with a lot of weaknesses due to being mono-Grass. You can’t brute force your way through battles. You have to be more strategic and use status moves which will make battles last longer.
