In universe the professor who wrote that entry is injecting his own anthropocentric views by saying it's dress looks like one worn by noble ladies. Of course it's not a noble lady, it's a species that lives out in the wild and can be male and female. That's what I'm saying, I know it was probably designed to be female coded but in context that hardly matters. Like with the secretary bird I mentioned, to us humans it looks pretty feminine and we call it a secretary which is a mostly female occupation but they can also be males and aren't literal secretaries.
