>>43503046The reason for some gym leaders and elite four not being able to have all Pokemon of the same type was thanks to the limited number of Pokemon for those types at the time. Ghost and Dragon got fucked over hard due to this in previous generations, but it doesn't have to be an issue for this dex. Shit like Flint in DP only having two Fire types despite being a Fire type E4 member was just sad. Same for stuff like Glacia only using two Glalie, two Sealeos and one Walrein in Hoenn. Lance being forced to use mons like Gyarados and Charizard was out of desperation, not to make him a stronger trainer. Monotype teams that are competently made can definitely be a challenge, so I think that ideally this region should follow that as best as possible.
