>maneuveringpeople like to liken competitive to chess but really it's more like poker. you can guess sets based on your opponent's team composition or the meta in general but there's always the element of rng and bluffing involved. at a higher level it's important to 'read' your opponent throughout a match or if you've played them before, to try and guess what type of play they'll make.
