>>36382976And nothing went as planned. I ended up using Moltres against Lorelei after remembering that Fire Spin is broken with gen1 mechanics, then I ran out of PP against Slowbro. He was still low enough on health to die on Fire Blast though. Lapras tanked it however and killed him, making it the second time my legendary bird die against Lorelei's Lapras (i swear to god I'm not sending Articuno against her in Yellow). Afterwards Bruno was pretty much straightforward: Surf on Onix, kill Hitmons with Pidgeot (almost died on elemental punches), surf on second Onix and Pidgeot again on Machamp. Agatha gave me the exact problem she brought in Red: Oh my god these Gengar are tanky as fuck, I wasted nearly all my Surf PP on these. Other than that no problem, Golbat and Arbok went out in a single hit, and Haunter in two. Lance wasn't too much of a problem thanks to Blizzard, Gyarados did gave some trouble but Strength did the job.
And then came Blue. Surfbot did fine until Exeggutor, at wich point I switched on Aerodactyl, and Exeggutor died easily, but then he sent his Gyarados, and with my Gyarados with half his HP remaining, it was pretty much guarenteed no one would survive this turn. I guess I could have just switched to that useless Pidgeot and heal Surfbot afterwards, but even then I wasn't sure if I would be able to pass the Charizard afterwards, 1PP on Hydro Pump and no PP restore meant I could possibly have to rely on a Strength with nearly no PP left to end the job. So instead I sacrificed Aerodactyl and used Toxic to make sure Gyarados would die easily. In the end Hydro Pump worked and Charizard died instantly, so I guessed it could have gone better, but hey, this time I got two mons left!
It's 4.30AM where I live anyway, so I'll probably sleep now and start up Yellow when I wake up.
