>>38670892There is an argument against it. It's a useless feature for literal 4 year olds that would take development time away from other things. And yes, it does take development time, making a collection of animations and interactions for every single Pokemon.
Same goes for Battle Frontier, though I wouldn't exactly call it useless, it's definitely a feature that does not *need* to be in a modern Pokemon game. With the advent of competitive online play, I firmly believe that all any game needs is something like the Battle Agency and the Battle Tree. As far as the Battle Frontier goes, yes, even I want it back, but it's a mindset that you need to get into. The reality is that it's simply never going to happen with GameFreak's new design philosophies.
