>>44128429If you care so much about elo then get some alts and get experience on those. I never went above 1700 but i got 6 alts or so between 1650-1690. That makes it easier to improve both your teambuilding and your game senses too. Can i get to 1700? Yes, absolutely. But i'm satisfied as it is.
Don't be afraid to try things out. Low ladder is fun because you get away with very shitty teams, fixing those as you climb up is part of the experience.
Elo also doesn't tell the whole picture too, pokemon has many RNG involved so don't be much discouraged if you keep getting haxed in one or two games. Just keep playing until you are satisfied with that fictional number or get tired of competitive.
Also, avoid playing tilted. So many people get near [insert desired elo] and get on massive losing streaks because of one loss it's insane. Keep your mental in check, just don't be afraid to play the game.
You can even set rules to avoid turning laddering into a grind, i only played 7 matches a day, and stopped if i lost 3 in a row. Consistency might lead you to better results than mindless grinding. Know when to stop and everything will work out.
That's all from me. Happy laddering anon.
