no but seriously each region has unique features to keep each game memorable for that reason. however i think all new games should have a post-game shiny hunting method such as the pokeradar/dexnav/fishing chaining.
as well as that, the dexnav in general made looking for pokemon actually fun so it should definitely come back. as long as they fix the sneaking mechanic. it's fucking impossible to hunt shinies in caves since every 5th chain it runs away twice as fast and you almost always break the chain by accidentally running while close to it because PANIC
