What I LIKE to do is get both versions, trade over the other 2 starters into my main game, and use all 3. But that makes shit way too easy. When I played ORAS that way, even with the exp share off, I ended up plowing through everything with ease even though my pokemon had random as fuck natures and I didn't grind at all. I had to box the starters after 4 or 5 gyms.
