These shitty oversized filler gimmicks (like ORAS' Soaring) are for the ADD/ADHD children & spergs of today who aren't compatible with turn-based RPGS due to low attention spans and low IQs. This is also why we'll never see another Battle Frontier, more than 200 new pokemon in a new gen, a large world map, or a long wholesome story mode.
Game Freak seem to be in denial of the fact that their largest demographic of the core pkmn series are 18-30 year-old men. Not kids. They have denied their base. Even though we've been there for them since the very beginning. They've sold out big time.
